Pet Care Services...

Pet feeding and care in your own home

This service is ideal for cats and other small animals when you are busy or away on holiday and for dogs when you need them visited and fed, providing you will be back with them overnight. Peace of Mind Pet Care will visit your pet in their own home once or twice a day and feed them, change water, clean any litter trays and carry out any other duties we have agreed such as grooming. For dogs we will also let them out into the garden. Your pet will receive plenty of fuss and will be happily cared for in the familiar surroundings of their own home.

Pet boarding in one of our carer’s homes

This service is available for dogs, cats and other small animals. Your pet will come and stay with one of our carer’s in their home where they will be treated like one of the family. We try to stick as closely as possible to the pet’s normal routine such as feed times and our carers will provide plenty of exercise and attention. All of our carer’s homes are safe and secure and we always match the best possible carer to your pet. If your dog is used to an active, outdoor lifestyle we can provide this and if they are older and need a quiet home then we will use a carer who is best suited for this.

Dog walking

Our dog walking service comes with total flexibility to help you provide the essential exercise that your dog needs. We can provide an hour walk designed to fully exercise your dog or a shorter 20-30 minute walk ideal for dogs that need less exercise as you will walk them again that day or for older dogs that can’t do as much. Depending on the surrounding walking area your dog’s walk can be a mixture of on and off leash exercise providing you have agreed that your dog is obedient off leash.

Dog day care

Your dog can come and stay with one of our carers for the day (approx 8 hours) where they will be cared for as per their normal routine and taken for one long walk or two short walks. As with pet boarding your dog will be treated as one of the family. This is perfect for when you are at work or away at a long meeting. As with all our services we are very flexible on what we can offer, if you needed to drop off your dog for a shorter or longer period please contact us and we can provide a price for this.

Dog and cat training and behavioural advice

We offer a full range of training and behavioural consultations for dogs and behavioural consultations for cats. Just some of the things we can help with are:

Obedience training – basic commands such as sit, down, stay, leave etc.

Dog behavioural problems – barking, chewing, jumping up, house soiling, not returning to you off leash and many more issues.

Puppy training and obedience – we can help bring your puppy up to be an obedient and well mannered family member with advice on care, socialisation, training and putting a stop to unwanted puppy behaviour!

Cat behavioural problems – house soiling, socialisation such as cat-cat or cat-dog introductions, new kitten care and much more.

We offer a free 30 minute consultation to find out more about how we can help you and your pet. You can also combine some training with dog day care and bring your puppy or dog to us for the day where they will be cared for as in the above dog day care but we will also provide some training as agreed in a consultation with you.

Horse care

We are able to provide a variety of horse care services for field and stable kept horses and ponies. Our horse carers have many years experience with lots of different types of horses and can provide a full range of care to suit your requirements and riding services such as hacking and schooling.
