About Peace of Mind Petcare...

Peace of Mind Pet Care is owned and run by me, Sofie Harper. Whilst working as a Veterinary Nurse I was often asked by pet owners if they knew anyone who could visit their house to look after their pets, I then set Peace of Mind Pet Care in 2003 to offer services such as this. I also have experience in pet nutrition, behaviour and pharmacology.

I own a fox-red Labrador, 2 cats and a horse. My dog is a good example of my behavioural and training work, he is a calm well mannered family member and is a fantastic retriever which is his favourite activity, he also loves to come out hacking with my horse. I provide dog and cat behavioural advice and training in the form of consultations and can also provide day care training too. My methods are firm but reward based and work on the basis of exercise, training and effective communication with your dog. I have owned horses since the age of 10 and am experienced with a variety of breeds including ex-racehorses and warmbloods, therefore I am available for a full range of horse care services.

I have established a local, very loyal client base where I have got to know the specific customer’s requirements and more importantly their pets. At Peace of Mind Pet Care we pride ourselves on this approach, as knowing the pets well means that we know their quirks and we know that they are happy and well when we care for them.

Our pet carers are pet owners with a passion for pets and all experienced at providing a variety of pet care, we always aim to work as closely as possible to your pet’s normal daily routine.

We are fully insured and registered with NARP, The National Association of Registered Petsitters.

We cover the Surrey area as shown on the areas covered page however we do have carers in a few other areas so please contact us for more information.
